Just because you have had weight loss surgery it doesn’t mean that you can never have anything sweet again! Try this fantastic grape salad recipe for you, your family and your friends. This recipe will give you a sweet fix as well as helping to keep you full for longer.

 

 

Serves: 4

Nutritional value per serving (1/4 yield):

Calories: 199      Carbohydrates: 28g

Fat: 7g                   Protein: 9g

Ingredients:

500g grapes (red, green or mixed)

2 oz (60g) fat free cream cheese

2 oz (60g) reduced fat sour cream

½ cup low calorie sugar

2 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Method

  1. Wash Grape first before using and drain.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese and Sour Cream, Sugar and Vanilla well in a blender for a few minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Carefully stir the grapes and nuts into the creamy mixture until they are evenly coated.
  4. Pour into a small dish, sprinkle with the brown sugar and leave in the fridge for an hour before serving.
