Dr. Juan A. López Corvaláhas been chosen as proctor for the past 10 years by ALLERGAN (INAMED Health) (Lap Band manufacturer,) in charge of teaching and assisting American (US) surgeons training in the Gastric Lap Band procedure.

 

Angeles Health is the first hospital in the Angeles network scheduled to receive its JCI Accreditation.

JCI is the international division of Joint Commission Resources, a non-profit organization that creates standards and resources for hospitals to improve their quality of care and patient safety. It is a part of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre, a collaborative initiative with WHO that is committed to finding patient safety solutions.

“JCI accreditation of Hospital Angeles network of hospitals is an important step for our Angeles Health International Medical Travel program,” says Paulo Yberri, the Director of Angeles Health in Tijuana. “In the past three and a half years, Angeles Hospitals have worked with more than 6,000 medial travelers from the US, Canada, and Europe.”

“JCI Accreditation will add to the reassurance factor so important to the medical travel process,” notes the hospital director.
